Eyebrow Transplant

The eyebrow is an important part of facial symmetry and contributes to the Aesthetic appearance of men and women.
Eyebrows frame the eyes and are one of the first facial structures we look at as a society.
A person without natural appearing eyebrows is very conscious of their appearance.
Transplantation surgery can often restore eyebrows to their natural youthful appearance.

Eyebrows lose their natural full appearance by:
Congenital Causes.
Trauma-burns, auto accident, chemical or electrical burns.
Radiation or Chemotherapy.
Medical, Autoimmune, or Systemic Disease.
Obsessive Compulsive plucking referred to as Trichotillomania.
Normal Aging process.
For those men and women who have lost the natural full appearance of their eyebrows, automated Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

• The patient must inform the doctor about his health history.
• Stop smoking at least 24 hours before surgery. Smoking can affect wound healing and also affects your recovery so stop or if you are unable to then put it temporarily on hold until after your surgery.
• Do not have alcohol in the three days before your surgery. It is better if you have your last alcoholic drink a week before your surgery.
• Don’t have a hair cut before your surgery. It is important to let the donor area grow so that there is enough for the transplant. Plus it will cover the stitches following your surgery.
• If you are over a certain age, for example 45 and above then we may ask you to undergo tests such as an ECG beforehand. You may also have a blood test.
• Stop taking aspirin or any anti-inflammatory medication one week before your surgery.
• Avoid taking anti-depressants, beta-blockers and blood thinning drugs one week before surgery. Your surgeon will provide you with a list of what medications you can and cannot take beforehand.
• Stop taking any multivitamin/mineral supplements or herbal supplements one week before surgery.

You will be given a local anesthetic which is injected into the skin underneath the donor hair.
(This kind of anesthetic has some pain for the patients)
There is another anesthetic called sedation it has not any side Effect and the patient will not feel any pain during the operation at all.

Generally, 200- 250 grafts are placed in each brow, depending upon the existing amount of hair and the desired size and density

The process takes between tow up to four hours, it is depending on the size of the area to be transplant.

The patient should stay in Istanbul for three days,
In the First day the operation will be done, the second day is rest, the last day the doctors will do check up then the patient can go back to his country.

The recovering time between four days up to one week, but you can go back to your normal life directly with out any side effect.
The transplanted hair after hair transplantation operation may fall in first month or may grow without falling.
In the first third month of hair transplantation operation, the transplanted hair grows visibly(As this period is up to the hair follicle and physical structure of the person, it may be four months for some)
60% of the transplanted hair grows and becomes visible in the first sixth month after hair transplantation operation. It will get its natural state within eight month to one year.
In order to speed up the process and feed up your hair, you can use the medicines or medical therapy advised by your doctor, three weeks after hair transplantation operation.
